A man identified as Jesús Fernando “N.” was found dead late Saturday morning after being shot during an alleged attempted kidnapping in the Álvaro Obregón neighborhood. The incident occurred on Guadalajara Street, between Belice and Guatemala, in the northwest part of the city.
According to preliminary reports, three men in a sedan tried to force the victim into their vehicle. Jesús Fernando reportedly resisted by throwing rocks and metal pipes at the assailants, leading to a physical struggle. During the confrontation, a shot was fired, and as the victim attempted to flee, the attackers fired again, fatally wounding him before fleeing the scene.
Authorities confirmed that the victim had prior criminal records, including weapons possession, domestic violence, and a robbery conviction from the 1990s. Police secured the area while forensic specialists initiated an investigation to identify and locate the suspects.
