Desemboque, Sonora, Mexico
The small and quiet fishing village of Desemboque (pronounced dess-em-boe-kay) is located on the northern Sea of Cortez, in the municipality of Caborca.
Desemboque has beautiful beaches that are usually completely open and with few visitors. It is a marvelous spot for a tranquil beach getaway.
It is currently a sleepy seaside town, but at some point it may undergo commercial development similar to that experienced by Rocky Point.
Also, a Sonoran state highway to run along the length of the “Sonoran Riviera” coast comes within a few miles of Desemboque for easier access from Rocky Point and the border town of Sonoyta.
