Budget has an office conveniently located at the corner of Ignacio Pesqueira (Mexico highway 15) and Avenida Abasolo in Navojoa, near the Bodega Aurrera grocery store and just down the street from the Hotel del Mayo.

The office is open on Monday through Saturday from 8:00 a.m. to 1:00 p.m. They close for two hours and open again from 3:00 p.m. to 6:00 p.m. On Sunday, they are open from 8:00 a.m. to 3:00 p.m.

The Navojoa Budget office rents a variety of cars, but because it is a small agency they recommend that you make your reservation in advance so they can have the size of car you prefer ready when you arrive. If you want a spur-of-the-moment rental, the agency will have at least one car available to rent.

The Navojoa Budget car rental office rents vehicles based on a daily rate that includes insurance. The cars you rent from Budget Navojoa have unlimited mileage and no distance limits. And check with the office for current promotions, like special discounts and offers for weekly or other longer-term rentals.

All you need to rent a car is your driver license and a major credit card, like Visa, Mastercard, American Express or Discover. They also accept debit cards that have a Visa credit card logo.

You have the option to return the vehicle to the Budget location in Navojoa, or to any other Budget location in Mexico – in Sonora, that includes Ciudad Obregon and Hermosillo.

Budget Navojoa rents a variety of car models, from smaller vehicles like a Nissan Tiida, Renault Logan or Volkswagen Vento, as well as mid-size, full-size, minivans and even SUVs.

Comfortable, Secure Accommodations in Downtown Huatabampo

The Hotel La Pasadita is a very nice two-story hotel located in the downtown shopping district of Huatabampo. It is within walking distance of the city’s main plaza and palacio municipal, grocery stores, shopping district, restaurants and local eateries.

Accommodations at La Pasadita are quiet, clean and comfortable. Each room has two comfortable full-size beds, room for clothing and luggage storage, a flat-screen TV and a large mini-fridge.

The hotel has free WiFi, and the Restaurant La Pasadita that adjoins the hotel serves very good traditional Mexican meals. There is also a nice balcony seating area on the second floor where you can watch the activity on the street below.

One potential drawback is that the hotel does not have any off-street parking. Spaces are available on the street in the evening, either directly in front of the hotel or within a short distance.

Comfortable, Secure Accommodations in a Great Huatabampo Location

The Hotel Alys is one of the nicer yet lesser-known hotels in Huatabampo for foreign visitors. This is because they do not pay commissions to hotel booking sites and their only web presence and contact options are in Spanish. But don’t let that deter you, they would love to show you their hotel and have you as a guest.

I have stayed at the Alys and found it to be a very comfortable place for a short-term or even longer-term stay in the area. The hotel rents rooms by the month and bi-monthly, and it also offers a very reasonable daily room rate.

Rooms have a mini-split air conditioner, abundant hot water, a flat-screen TV with cable, a microwave and a mini-refrigerator. They are recently renovated and very clean, and the beds are comfortable. And in the hallway outside the rooms are places to sit, relax and enjoy a conversation.

I also mentioned that it is secure – the police station is at the end of the block, they close and lock the gate at night, and the common areas are under video surveillance 24/7.

And, the Hotel Alys has a great location for exploring Huatabampo. The hotel is just down the street from the Red Cross and the city police and fire departments, and if you walk two blocks in the other direction you will find the Alvaro Obregon House Museum and an Oxxo convenience store.

Walk a few steps further and you are at the Huatabampo Palacio Municipal and Plaza Juarez – a location from which you can find stores, coffee shops and other places to see within walking distance.

And if you get hungry at night, next door to the hotel Don Chito fires up his grill at 8:00 p.m. to grill delicious carne asada. The Alys is a very laid-back place that is one of my favorite places to stay in Huatabampo.I hope you will enjoy it too.

Comfortable, Economical Accommodations on the Way to Alamos

You will not find the Hotel Soria on any of the online hotel booking sites, because rather than paying a commission to those websites the hotel would rather offer their guests a better price for the same level of accommodations.

There are three Soria hotels in Navojoa, the Hotel Soria Norte is conveniently located on the right side of the highway as you enter Navojoa from the north. The other Hotel Sorias are located near highway 15 on the south side of Navojoa – to see a map and phone numbers, visit their website.

The hotel does not have a swimming pool, but it does offer great WiFi, free coffee and basic continental breakfast, and a clean, quiet, secure and comfortable air-conditioned room with abundant hot water, where you can get a good night’s sleep.

The Hotel Soria Norte also has a very large parking lot, with lots of space where you can park your RV, or a group of recreational vehicles.
